Okay, I am in the middle of this book. Right at the 50 yard line. It's just okay. The whole "spirit earth" and the "Asking" and that whole nonsense makes this just ridiculous about now. Spoiler: the mother telling The Daughter of Raven about procreation between Humans and Earth Spirits. I knew going into this book it was fantasy driven, but it is beyond that about now. I'm going to finish it and maybe it will get better, but from the Raven girl part of this book, it's just ridiculously unbelievable. Addendum - I just finished this book. I changed my mind - it is lame and silly and totally unbelievable. The entire story line. Then the dad winds up gay, and the real mother goes to the Earth Spirit. My goodness. What a complete disappointment and a wasted free book. Don't bother on this one.
