The item is very small and didn't work for either of our 4 years old cats. I am writing this customer review after a month of receiving the item and my cats have had enough testing time with it. I wasn't satisfied with this product from day one but didn't return it because the cats already did thier business in it and it would be unethical to return it. the cats were doing thier business and sometimes they would poop outside as they try to maneuver inside the box. finally I took the cover off and used it as a regular open litter box rendering the concept of the self cleaning litter box useless. the product description claims this litter box has Chrome latches while in fact the latches are made of plastic in Chrome color. I wouldn't recommend this product and I feel really bad for paying $50+ for it while i am using it as a $5 open litter box now.
