Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

We did not get this from Amazon, but a national toy store. We got this as a gift for our son for his 4th Birthday along with all the figures. It looked impressive at first, then I opened the box and was greeted by dozens and dozens of very poor quality pieces to put together. I usually disregard reviews that say it took X number of hours to assemble, because it typically takes me 1/4 of the time they say. But this took over 1 1/2 hours for me to construct and I didn't apply the sheets filled with stickers. The cityscape on the top and left is actually printed cardboard that's held in place with tiny clips that don't even snap in place. Gravity holds them on, which of course means when the kids are playing they fall off and so does the cityscape. Many of the pipes that are prominent in the design are only molded to 180 degrees. The back side are not a finished piece like you'd expect. All of the snap connections throughout the entire set are terrible quality. The molding is horrible, the design and engineering aparently was never tested, because it takes very little force to "disassemble" any and all of the pieces. I suppose it would be fine if it were a "model" that sat on a shelf just to be looked at. But since it's a playset the design is just unacceptable. The parts are mostly very flimsy and poorly designed. Some actually can't support their own weight. If you hold the edge of some they sag by 15-20 degrees. Most people buying this are probably familiar with imaginext playsets, very sturdy, if parts fall off it's because the kid was abusing it not just playing with it. This is NOT even close to that quality and stregth. If kids are playing nicely with this, pieces will fall off. Build it where you want to keep it, because once it's built your not going to want to move it, parts will fall off. If you have any kids under 2 years old, it has to be 100% out of reach. Our's came missing a few pieces that were suppose to be attached to one of the larger pieces from the factory. I contacted their customer support via e-mail, sent a picture they requested, then got the reply they don't have and can't get the defective part. So now I have to rip it apart to return it, just so I can build one once again. I know many will buy this for Christmas and it'll be the "big gift" for the year. I'm telling you, this will ruin your holiday's. Santa would fire his elves for putting out a pile of junk like this. And at the price it retails for, after owning it I wouldn't pay over twenty bucks for it. It's instantly disposible, worst toy our kids have ever received. I'm not one to write reviews, but I know this will be a hot seller for Christmas and hope I can prevent some of you from wasting your hard earned money on this garbage.
