Really disappointed in this mixer. I've had a Kitchenaid Artisan mixer for 7 years and have loved it. I thought I was getting an upgrade but I was very wrong and I feel cheated. First off, even after thoroughly washing and drying it, it turned $12 worth of almond paste black. They've changed the metal material of this bowl and I'm uncomfortable trying anything with oils in it now. Also, my bowl is very hard to get on correctly. It takes 2 hands and considerable force to get it all clicked in right which seems crazy and with 4 eggs in it, my whisk still didn't reach them to get my batter started. Lastly, the mixer clicks a lot when using it, especially on higher speeds. I haven't tried using the pasta attachment on this so I'll update my review once I have, but even if that works great, I didn't spend $230 to have a pasta maker. I never expected to not like this. I have several Kitchenaid appliances and other Kitchenaid countertop appliances and have always been happy but this experience is tarnishing my opinion of them. I've contacted Kitchenaid and will update if they offer a decent resolution.
