I am a professional photographer and decided to upgrade from a Mid 2014 Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro. The main reason being that since it was an older model it was starting to get slow for editing my photos which is what I used it for 90% of the time. I looked into this iMac because I felt it was time to get a desktop computer. The reason of my rating is because the computer is just too slow to render my files, I shoot with a SONY A7RIII and the files are considerably large, however I would expect a brand new computer to be able to perform at peak level straight out of the box. Upgrading to a significant larger RAM would had costed me about $700-$1k more. I just ordered 32GB more of RAM separately and will have to install myself which I appreciate that Mac at least has that option, but for me to have to spend more $$$ because the iMac doesn't perform well it's just a huge disappointment considering I spent $2k on this model (Tax and Apple Care included.)
