Do not put any professional speakers on them, you will regret it
If you are considering putting any professional speakers on these stands, do yourself a big favor and get something better. I have a pair of JBL LSR305 Studio Monitor, and they barely fit on the base, more than half of the speaker was hanging. Also they are not sturdy so I was really afraid that the monitor would fall at any moment. So I returned them and got the Harmony Audio HA-BKSPKS instead and these are only 10 dollars more expensive. I cannot be more satisfied with these stands they are very sturdy and stable and have a big base that will fit any 5" and I think it might fit an 8" as well
