BeachBody is greedy, greedy, greedy
The orange flavor is "new" because BeachBody has apparently replaced the P90x Results and Recovery product with this (no longer available on Amazon or BeachBody site). This version has less calories (130) than the Results and Recovery (220), and also less servings 20 vs 25. But guess what? It costs $20 more!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEACHBODY - YOU STINK!! I have been a loyal consumer of the P90x Results and Recovery formula for years and now you pull it and jack the price way up? Come on.
I have not tried this nor will I try it no matter how good it tastes because I am not going to drop $80 every 20 workouts for recovery drink - that is $4 per workout. It was bad enough paying for the original Results and Recovery which was about $2.25 per workout. Plenty of other alternatives.
UPDATE:
I made an equally delicious copy of R&R with 41g of gatorade powder (orange or get creative with a different flavor), 15g of EAS Vanilla protein powder (has BCAAs in it), .5g of creatine powder, and 3 g of Emergen C (for the vitamins). This will have the 4:1 carb/protein ratio as well as BCAAs/creatine/vitamins that R&R has. Initial cost will be about the same as a container of R&R, but over the long haul it will be much cheaper since you won't need to buy protein powder and creatine every time you run out of gatorade powder.
You can use the last empty container of P90x R&R to mix a large batch together. You can even use the old scoop since the serving size of my mixture is 59g vs 60g from BeachBody. :)
