I have an older Emerson clock radio and thought this would be a fabulous replacement. Most features are great, however, if you don't need loud alarms to wake you up don't get this one. I typically wake up easily to the radio at a low enough volume, so when I did set up I had it on the lowest possible setting. It definitely startled me the first morning, and the second morning was so jolting that I knocked the radio onto the floor and destroyed it. Yep, 2 days of use. And again, I had the volume set on the lowest possible setting. Don't get this if you are a light sleeper!
