Unlike any MCT oil I've ever tried
I've been taking MCT oil for quite awhile and making my own version of BPC with my own choice of coffee, grassfed butter, and MCT oil, so I'm not new to this rodeo; my body is quite used to the fats. I received a sample of the Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil in the mail recently and gave it a try. It performed fine, but the one sample wasn't really enough of a trial to make any decision about the claims this particular brand makes so I went ahead and purchased a 16 oz bottle. The very first use of it, I noticed a few things. First, the cap/bottle neck are very drippy and made the bottle greasy upon first use. Second, the flavor was really bitter even though I did not detect any odor. Third, the horrific stomach pain, urgent need for the bathroom, and overall unwell feeling this product gave me all day causes me pause. I took a break from all MCT oil for several days and then tried this product again. Same results. Next day, I tried my usual brand and nothing remarkable happened other than I felt great, energized, full, and NOT sick. Today I tried the Bulletproof again just to make sure it wasn't a fluke before I threw out this expensive purchase and sadly, I had the same unpleasant results. I'm not sure if this was a bad lot I tried or if this particular brand just doesn't agree with my body, but I will not be purchasing it again and I cannot in any good faith, recommend this brand of MCT oil. Buyer beware. Just because it's the popular name brand, does not mean that it's the be-all, end-all.
