This is my first review of a product and I felt I had to share. I purchased the Shark Rotator Professional Series 400 and what is said is true. It is easy to assemble and my first use on carpet was amazing; however, after emptying the canister I turned the brushroll off to use on a hard floor and that is where the problem showed. No suction. I checked everything, I called the customer service line and they were great, walked me through everything to check, but still no suction, not even on the carpet only with the wand. Sent it back for a replacement no hassle, no problem. Received the replacement and was excited to try it again. Same thing great first time, but lost suction again. Well I finally figured out what the problem is. On the very bottom of the power head is a trapdoor and when I opened it, it was totally clogged and had to be cleaned out. Then it worked fine. If you have pets which shed this is not the vacuum for you. I spend more time cleaning the product than I do vacuuming. I am sorry, but I cannot recommend this product. I love Sharks other products, but stay away from this one. If I could send it back and get a refund I would, but they already sent one replacement and the customer service individual was very nice, but told me that if this one didn't work the way I liked, then maybe it wasn't the product for me. Would they reimburse the $238? No, but they were very nice about it. So sorry try another one. When checking for future purchases check the bottom of the power head, if it has a trap door, stay away from it. That is definitely a design flaw.
