Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I don't often give totally negative reviews, but this is a very poor product. Rabbit TV is a "software locking dongle" that allows you access to software they install. You must have it plugged in to use it; their software will not work without the dongle plugged in, taking up a USB port. The software itself malfunctions regularly. It fails to properly recognize when you've logged in or out, gets lost if you shut your computer down without first logging out of Rabbit TV, and often simply doesn't work. When it does work... all it does is compile a list of websites that contain streaming video... sites like Hulu, ABCTV.com, YouTube, etc. There's nothing that can't be found by Googling "online video", "online television" or "online movies". In short, this is basically a hardware-locked, software-based LINKing device. It doesn't actually stream anything. The ad states: "Includes such channels as ABC, CBS, ESPN, FOX, Liftime, PBS and Many more! All you need is internet access and you can have TV!" If you have internet access... alternately you can visit ABC.com, CBS.com, ESPN.com... and get the same thing, without buying this device or paying a yearly fee for "free" television. If one is Internet un-savvy, for $20 a year you can link to other websites (automatic renewal if you don't intentionally cancel your account, BTW). Or alternately, buy a new Rabbit TV dongle for considerably less. Look at the number of 1-star reviews. Now look at the number of 5 star reviews. Notice how many of those 5-star reviews suddenly appear within a short time of one another. What's amazing is that this thing is sold by so many major companies. As the saying goes: there's a sucker born every minute. And yes... guilty myself. But I returned mine the next day. This is a fairly useless and poorly-designed device, with (at this time) more 1-star than 5-star reviews.
