predictable plot, obvious heroes and villains, crappy action scenes, lacking emotion, all wrapped up in an on-the-nose cringeworthy level of racial and gender empowerment undertones. The making of John Clark and the origins of Rainbow Six deserved an effort worthy of their cultural impacts, not this B-movie LARPing junk. Amazon: Stop trying so hard! You've already established Jack Ryan. It's not perfect, but it's a good starting point. Why couldn't you continue to add character and plot development using that as a platform? You've taken all the realism, quiet sacrifice and complexity out of something that was so, so much more complex when Tom Clancy conceived of it. For what? To make a social statement? What a waste.
