I have installed Hella Supertone horns on several cars over the years. The set I purchased on Amazon for "a great price" failed after only a few months installed. I only now just had opportunity to pull the bumper off the car again to diagnose the horns. I hooked them up to one of my other cars which also has Hella horns that are working fine. They gave only a brief squeal and nothing further. I can only conclude that this is a case of a product not being genuine. I do see that Hella offers a 12 month warranty with broad stroke elimination clause that they must be installed by a "professional". Im a car collector who would never let a "professional" lay a hand on any of my cars. But looks like Hella will wave me off as unqualified to install ...horns. So even if these are genuine, based on that clearly ill-willed clause to avoid any possibility of standing by their product, Im not going to waste my time with Hella for replacement.
