Below is my email to SmittyBilt. To whom it may concern, I am writing to you today in regards to my honest disgust in what is hands down price gouging for replacement parts. I purchased the 10k lbs x20 winch with wireless remote. I was quite pleased initially with the product. I ended up losing the remote the first day on the trail. Completely my fault. I inquired on getting a replacement and was appalled that the price of the remote is quite literally half the price ($250) of the winch package itself. I know I could have gotten a normal non wireless remote, but after only a day of owning the winch I wanted to make the setup whole again. Yes I purchased the replacement. But this experience has solidified my choice to NEVER purchase another SmittyBilt product again. I feel this is completely disrespectful to the 4x4 community and just plain wrong.
