Warning...my dimmer switch melted.I bought several of these salt lamps with the dimmer switch over the summer. The last one I bought in August 2016. Within the past couple of days my salt lamp that I use by my bed, the dimmer switch stopped working. Then several days later I noticed an odd smell in my house. I could not figure out where it was coming from. When I went downstairs I noticed one of my other salt lamps the lamp was not liite so I went to replace the bulb. As I got closer I noticed the odor was stronger. I looked at my dinmmer switch and it has partially melted!!!!! The rest of the cord was fine. it was the dimmer switch itself that must have burned causing it to melt and the night night to burn out. I contacted Amazon about the danger of this dimmer switch as it is a potential fire hazard. I own many salt lamps one I have since 1985 and it is still plugged in 24/7 after all these years and I just have to replace the bulb occasionally. Please be aware of this potential danger. Very scary. I am now having to advice everyone I bought one for of this WBM Himalayan salt lamp of this hazard. Very scary and I am very upset to say the least.
