I like that the oven is small and compact and can fit below my cabinets. It also heats very quickly and seems to hold a uniform temperature while baking. I also like the execution of the crumb tray which is easier to remove and clean than most of the toaster ovens I have used in the past. On the negative side, it does not toast all that evenly. There are definite hot spots which sometimes force you to rotate the bread during the toasting process. The controls are also not as useful as they could be. Attempting to control toasting by darkness and number of slices takes a lot of trial and error to find an optimum combination (I have used this product for several weeks and am still adjusting the settings to meet my requirements). Finally, the rack inside the pan is not well designed. Rather than having a stop or mechanism to hold it in place, it just slides out. This can create a difficult situation when attempting to work with food that is not positioned at the immediate front of the oven. Several times the hot rack has fallen out and I have experienced minor burns. This oven definitely needs to be used extremely carefully to prevent injury. REVISION: After many frustrating efforts, I find myself forced to revise my earlier review. No amount of playing with the settings appears to result in toast which could remotely be called uniform. On occasion, I have had toast where the top is burnt but the bottom of the bread almost white. In addition, I have found that, although the oven is capable of holding temperature relatively during the bake cycle, the heating elements on the bottom appear to be doing the majority of the work leaving items dried out or burnt on the bottom while getting the top of an item browned is almost impossible. I would definitely return this if it was not past the permitted time - too frustrating.
