NOTE: I have never received anything of value for a review and I paid full retail price for the product. UPDATE (7/15/19): I found a contact form on the manufacturer's website and sent them a message explaining the issue and asking how to get the product replaced on 6/22/19. No response as of December, 2021. I reduced my rating from 2 stars to 1 as a result. Poor quality control and no customer service. ORIGINAL REVIEW (6/9/19): This is the second EZ-DUZ-IT I have purchased. The first was the best can opener I have ever used. Except that there is no corrosion resistance on the blade or gears and it rusted fairly quickly. Then the finish was destroyed by the dishwasher (still worked but less sharp). The instructions say not to use the dishwasher; follow them. The replacement I bought does not work at all. The blade is bad and it does not cut through the lid in one spot on every can—even worse, two spots on large cans. The defect is so large that I cannot get the lid off by bending/twisting the lid. On large cans, I cannot get it open enough without bending the metal—sharp and dangerous (see photo). Probably just a quality control issue, but I’ll try a different brand next. I cannot find any warranty information and did not use it in time to return the product to Amazon, BTW. It’s now a paperweight.
