Got this because of the good reviews and cheap price. It's a great globe, but the stand is extremely flimsy. You can't pick it up without it feeling like it is going to fall apart. In fact, simply by bending the holder a little bit the globe will come right out of it. I guess I'm just used to the globes we had growing up that had metal stands. This one has a plastic one that I'm not impressed with.
