I have had this case for just under two months. Yesterday I noticed a little crumb of silicone missing from the bottom corner of the case, which must have occurred during very normal use. Today I dropped my phone a few feet onto a wood floor and the top corner of the phone popped out of the case, taking a big chunk of silicone with it. The phone is fine, but will the case protect it in future falls? This was my first time buying an Apple-brand case, because previous models didn't wrap all the way around and I didn't trust that they would protect if a fall hit the bottom of the phone, but I expected this new model to be high-quality especially given the price. Now I think I need to go back to other case brands, which have always been both durable and protective in my over 10 years of owning iPhones. I'm very frustrated that something that costs $49 doesn't last two months. Until the case started falling apart I was very happy with it, because it's comfortable to hold and the buttons are easy to press.
