Bottom fell out while in use
I was very much looking forward to this kitchen helper.
There were several reasons I choose this one over others.
1. It came mostly assembled. All I had to do was add the feet. Pregnant and with a toddler, doing more than this didn't sound like something I wanted to do.
2. It folded up. We live in a space limited house and folding was a great option for compact storage solutions.
3. Height levels. As my toddler grew, I could easily change the platform height.
However, after having this product for only two days, the platform the child stands on broke out from under my 18 month old. Somehow, she managed to grab and hold on while I pulled her out. Thank goodness I was no more than two feet away.
This occurred EVEN THOUGH I went through as tightened up loose screws over the entire piece. (No, I did not over tighten.) I did this due to reading other reviewers who had trouble with loose screws.
She was understandably terrified. We are very lucky that she managed to catch herself and did not land on the hard floor with pieces on top of her. We are also lucky that she's on the short end and wasn't leaning and didn't catch her neck.
I should also mention, she wasn't jumping or rocking the helper at all. She was playing with a toy I had in front of her on the counter while I made dinner.
I wouldn't recommend this product at all.
