We had our two Schnauzers on this food for quite awhile (8-10 months or so). Both of them developed major health issues while on it. One began losing muscle mass and function in their back legs. The other developed seizures. We couldn’t figure out what was causing these symptoms nor could the vet. My wife’s sister also had a schnauzer that began to seize on a regular basis while on this food. The vet put both of these animals on anti-seizure meds which helped control the regularly occurring seizures. We began to wonder what the common thread was. I decided to take them off of the Honest Kitchen food and give them another quality food. My wife’s sister decided to as well. Our dog that was losing funtion in his back legs began to recover after a couple months so we decided to ween our other dog off of the anti-seizure meds. Same result, no more seizures. My wife’s sister’s dog also made a full recovery after this food was removed from their diet. We have held some of this food back to send off for lab testing as we suspect it contains ingredients that resulted in these horrible medical issues on these three Schnauzers. I hope others read this and can relate any issues they are now having with their dogs back to this food.
