TOTAL B.S. VIBE!
remember A Million Little Pieces? the first clue it was b.s. was when he got on a plane, alone, strung out and bleeding and i think also vomiting.....i was like....hmmmmm....this isn't possible! well in this "memoir" the first hmmmm moment is when her family of i think about 8 people go for an extended stay to the grandparents trailer --- so that's like 10 people staying in a trailer? how does that work? and from there it just gets off the hook unreal! i know memoirs are tricky but i'm shocked this one passed thru the editing process! she is supposedly 'off the grid" but has a computer? and her mom's herbal biz is VERY successful...and the car accidents? more than one with almost the same results? i actually didn't finish the book but i skimmed to the end. I have two kids who went thru the college application process....there's ALOT of details to be dealt with...and she somehow does it with NO help, a totally bogus birth certificate, no real schooling? she is able to get herself off campus housing? she doesn't even know about the Holocaust? i could go on and on...i actually question how ANYONE can read this and think it's factual! and the glowing reviews are baffling.... i would give it NO STARS if i could.... a total SMH book....i read and loved The Glass Castle more than once and that's a perfect example of an excellent memoir ---- a crazy life, but it all seems real! this one is just a crock of embellishment....
