I got the multicolored version of this dress from Lulus about a year ago and would get buried in compliments every time I wore it, so when I saw the pink version of this dress (advertised with the Lulus model) for $40 cheaper I jumped at the chance! I should’ve listened to my moral compass—either the quality would be much reduced, somebody ain’t getting a living wage, or both—because y’all this dress was like TISSUE PAPER in every sense. The wrinkles (which I admit could maybe come out with a good steaming), the thinness, everything screamed “stuff this into a gift bag for a baby shower present.” I really wanted to love this, but it was doing me no favors, and the contrast with the higher quality original was too much. Both photos are straight out of the box and the difference is clear. The original was made with weightier fabric and double-lined. This version is NOT lined, which made my melanin rich skin show through as gray. That being said, it fit true to size: I’m 5’8” and got a small.
