Misleading packaging
This is my view of these bulbs as an electrician, I bought 17 packs from Home Depot today, $5 a box, $2.50 a bulb. On the box you can read the awesome warranty, and how they arent to be used in wet locations or in emergency fixtures. Once you open these and go to install it, if you're lucky, the words "Not for use in completely enclosed fixtures." catches you eye on the base of these bulbs. This is why your bulbs are buzzing. The drivers are overheating and the electronics are frying. This is also very misleading to people who actually try to read the specs on things, just to have the specs changed after purchase. Shame on Phillips for this. The cheapest bulb safe for enclosed fixtures is made by Cree http://www.amazon.com/Cree-Equivalent-Dimmable-Filament-Design/dp/B00PP4SHZQ/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1430958440&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=cree+4+flow I use them personally and stand by them 100%.
