I wasted over 30 minutes only to realize that this item can’t be installed on our bed base because it’s not flat. Many of ikea beds have a non flat base where the frame is higher and the matress is sitting a bit lower inside the frame (see attached photo). Also, although the assembly was fairly easy, the installation of the item on the bed is a job for two people to balance the rails and also requires the removal of the mattress. In our case, it did not work so I’m disappointed and will return it.
