I ordered this because it was on sale and in hopes that it would have interesting articles to do with things Oprah has discussed; like diets, being an older woman, etc. This was not the case. I threw out each magazine after not finding one article topic that sounded even a bit interesting!? (And did you know that every magazine has her on the cover? A bit egotistical!) Well, okay. I gave it a try and would have left it at that and not bothered to write a review. But the worse came with my last issue, December, and Oprah's favorite things. I found them not that interesting, but saw you could enter a giveaway for them. Great! You need to find the 12 symbols listed in the magazine to get their codes. I should have stopped there, because it too me going through the magazine several times and reminding me how boring this magazine was! But, I did and I then waited for the first day of the contest. I actually missed the first day by 10 minutes, but then thought I would do the second day. (You can submit an entry for each of the 12 days. I entered the details only to then see a pop-up thanking me for my acceptance of a free year subscription!???? (You get the first month free and then either pay or cancel the bill/subscription.) I paged back and saw no where that this entry would do this to me. I clicked the rules and saw nothing there. (I did see you would be notified around a certain date if you won and had 48 hours to respond. But since it was 'around' this date, this meant you needed to monitor your email pretty carefully. Ugh.) But back to my issue. I was scammed into 'accepting' this free subscription! Is she or her company or the company that sells these that desperate! I did not want to wait until the bill came and then cancel it after my first free issue. I would forget and hated this magazine. Well, they were nice enough to send me an email and in it you could cancel this free subscription online ... after waiting at least 24 hours for their files to gt caught up. However, nothing is that easy if a company wants to scam you. I checked back for a week waiting for it to show up and the forgot. Mind you, there is no way on this site to contact them. So, again, scammed! Luckily, they send other junk emails to you and I was reminded. And, finally it was there - a bill mark. I figured out how to cancel it and did. (I hope it is cancelled! It is still December and this is one big scam!) Needless to say, I did not submit another 'no purchase needed' giveaway. And, I am still trying to cancel the emails .... they have different 'types' and you have to do this to all of them! So beware! This magazine is boring, same person on each cover and they try to scam you at the end! Peace out!!
