I have used Welactin for our Golden Retriever for years. This used to be a quality product, made from real salmon oil and a single teaspoon was the correct dosage for our dog's weight. Imagine my surprise when I noticed the new packaging, saw that there is no more salmon oil used in the product, only "fish oil", and read that the required dosage is now one and one-HALF teaspoons...in other words, it will last 50% less long for the same price. I called the company and spoke to two people, both of whom read off a script telling me that the formula was "better" but they were unable to tell me why. I know why. They now spend less to make this inferior product and expect to sell more of it since the consumer has to use 50% more. This reformulation is a peaked anemic color, not at all like their previous formulation. I intend to research other products to try to find something of the quality of their previous formulation, before greed took over. Such a shame.
