This book was advertised on Fox News this morning by referencing a 'prophecy' the author claims came from the Reverend David Wilkerson, founder of Times Square Church. A FB post says that Wilkerson told author Mike Evans, the leading pastor of the Jerusalem Prayer Team, the following: "I see a plague coming on the world and the bars and church and government will shut down. The plague will hit New York City and shake it like it has never been shaken. The plague is going to force prayerless believers into radical prayer and into their Bibles and repentance will be the cry from the man of God in the pulpit. And out of it will come a third Great Awakening that will sweep America and the world." The problem? There re is no evidence that Wilkerson, who (conveniently, for Evans) died in 2011, actually made this prediction. Do some Googling before buying this book. No one at Times Square Church had ever heard about this 'prophecy.' We'd all like to believe that things will be different following this pandemic - but based on the way this book is being advertised on Fox, I predict that many humans will go back to same old same old. It's already happening.
