I've been using Staples shredder sheets for years, and on average my shredder will let me know I need to use a lubricant sheet every couple of months with my typical use. Out of sheer laziness of not wanting to drive to Staples to get more, I decided to order these Amazon ones ( yay prime, I can order in my pajamas and not have to interact with other humans). I loaded one through my shredder, reversed for 10 seconds and began shredding. Two (2) pieces of junk mail credit card offers and a handful of Stop & Shop receipts (NOT CVS, mind you), my shredder stops and says it needs more lubricant. Ok, maybe it was just really dried out in the first place and needed a second sheet, so I gave it another one. Proceed to shred a few more old statements (I don't understand why all business can't go paperless at this point), and about 7-10 sheets in, shredder stops, beeping for more lubricant sheets. Ok, now this is just bull ****. Needless to say, just to rule out the possibility that my steadfast shredder of several years now may just be on her way to the other side of the rainbow bridge, I go to Staples and get their trusty sheets. One Staples sheet in and the old girl is mowing through political mailers non stop like a f'n heavy weight champ!!!!!! I would have given it two stars because if you only need to shred a single post it note once a year, then these are perfect for you. But because I had to put pants on and make awkward eye contact with the unnervingly enthusiastic Staples associate, I give one (1) star.
