Great in every way except for one HUGE downside that's a dealbreaker
What can be wrong about a microfiber cleaning cloth that has some heft to it, comes in individual plastic carrying cases, and is a decent price to boot?
Well, there's a huge problem, and it's serious.
Despite being a synthetic fiber that should be impregnated with color, these cloths are dyed black. And the black dye comes off. On everything. Including your glass products. I could not understand why my eyeglasses were always smeared after using these cloths and the Zeiss lens cleaner I use (which has always cleaned perfectly with the microfiber wipe that came with the cleaning fluid). Well, it's the black dye coming off on your glass item.
Yuck. I washed these by hand and the dye blackened the water as if I'd spilled a jar of ink in it.
This is not a good thing, folks. Do you want your glasses covered in a film of black dye. No. No, you do not.
To the manufacturer: Dump the dye. Really. Leave it out. I don't want wipes that leave dye on everything. And why dye a synthetic? Isn't microfiber's color supposed to be in the synthetic threads themselves? Weird.
Buy something else.
