Late-2019 upgrade kills functionality in free version
I use this on the Fire to find APK apps i've downloaded and run them. The other day when I tried to click "install" I got prompted with an ES PREMIUM splash screen. I closed it. I could not run any files.
So ES File Explorer is now a File Manager that will let you look at files but not do anything with them. Unless you pay. Quickly uninstalled and will be finding a new file manager.
EDIT: I found Astro File Manager, its free and works great.
