I bought this to protect my son’s mattress. He has occasional accidents overnight and I wanted to keep the urine from reaching the mattress. After purchasing this, he went a couple months accident free. He just had another accident. After removing the bedding and this cover, I put my hand on the mattress to see how it had worked. I was wondering if I would notice a touch of wetness or if it would be completely dry. What I experienced was a soaking wet mattress. It felt as though there had not been any protective cover at all. Maybe it would be okay if it was to protect against light sweat, but the image of the spilled glass of wine is a joke. There is no way that this cover would protect against that much liquid. I would not recommend using this to protect against any amount of liquid.
