It leaks!! I would not buy this. Read further down after this initial review. I updated!! And I personally feel is a design flaw. I worked in domestic and commercial water systems. We installed pumps, sewer systems, water filtration systems and the like. The swivel, femal threaded adapter that connects to the shower stem, just below that where it swivels and attaches to the filter unit itself, it leaks. And, it leaks worse if you hang the shower head unit to the attachment. Once you run water through the filter, and, attach the shower head to same unit, it is quite weight loaded. If waterchef fixes this design, it will be a fabulous filter. I am contacting them to see if they have corrected this or have options. FOLLOW UP: Water Chef did send me a new filter however, upon receiving it, installing it, it leaked WORSE than the first one. Now they are trying to say it is because I used too much plumbers tape. I worked in commercial and domestic Water Systems. I worked in the field installing Water Softners, Iron Filters and more. I worked in the field installing subersible water pumps (complete brand new systems. I worked in sales and services. I went to pum school and filter school. I can honestly say, and showing it a plumber, this is a DESIGN FLAW and Water Chef is shirking their responsibility. DO NOT BUY WATER CHEF. I would be happy to send pictures of this filter, attached to the shower arm and spraying water all over the place at the filter housing itself, where the housing connects to the swivel that threads onto the shower arm. It does not leak ON the shower arm. it leaks where the swivel itself attaches to the housing unit.
