What's happened to the Kindle?
I give up. I had a K3 but didn't need the keyboard. So I traded for the new Kindle. I love the size and weight of it, and I didn't notice a difference in screen contrast that others have mentioned. But I've had four new Kindles. Each one has had an issue. The first two had buttons that either stuck or were so loose that they squeaked. The third had a scratch already when it arrived. The fourth has black specks within the screen that haven't gone away after a week of use. Maybe I expect too much from a reading device. I'm sending it back and ordering a Nook. Whatever I've bought for it will just have to be read on the iPad. It's a bummer, but I do so much reading on my dedicated e-reader that it needs to be perfect. Edit (2/7): So, I got a Nook. Horrible. Horrible. I picked up a Kindle Touch. First one's background was too dark, but the second one is perfect. Love it. Even the first one was notably crisper than any Nooks I owned. If at first you don't succeed...
