I want to cry. Its the 3rd week of Dry January - what better way to spend a Friday evening than ironing shirts! I travel for work - so know my way around a wrinkled shirt or three. But the small wall mounted table is not very efficient and we generally send shirts to the cleaners. So bought the Homz 4-legged table yesterday, after skimming reviews and the comparison chart edged me to the "Superior" 4-legged version. This ironing board is TERRIBLE. Seriously, you could not engineer something with 4 legs to be less stable. Wobbles, rocks and is extremely dangerous if you have children around (and leave the iron on the board). I pro-actively bought a Gorilla replacement/upgraded cover, guessing right, as the cover is extremely thin. Even with low expectations, I am sorely disappointed. Will iron 10 shirts, use the savings from the Cleaners to offset this purchase - and throw it away. Or the rational side of me might try to rig up something to reinforce the legs (I do have another week or so of extra time). But how hard it is to find an ironing board "like mom use to have" or at least one that is stable! Would love to read a real recommendation for an ironing board - it shouldn't be this hard.
