I literally just unboxed this toy. Put in the batteries, normal brand-new energizer batteries, pressed the music button and I started to smell burnt plastic. I was looking around the kitchen and out my window with it in hand and then felt my hand get warm, looked back at the toy and it was freaking smoking! I took batteries out. The smoke not coming from battery compartment but internal. It continued to smoke and the stench got stronger. I had to extinguish it!!! I don't even want to imagine this scenario if I had given it immediately to my child to check out after turning it on like I'd normally do with a new toy! This was incredibly upsetting!
