I bought the furminator and thought what a great idea to get a vacuum attachment. WRONG! Don't do it. There is no possible way this device will work for anybody. It is a total waste of money. The only reason I didn't return it is because it was opened. And, I should have gone with my instinct when I received it TO not open it and TO return it. But, by the time I returned it I thought it would be a draw financially. So I said what the heck! I'll try it. Do not try it. My animals ran for the hills when I turned on the vacuum. Regardless, the length of the vacuum adapter added to the length of the actual furminator does not allow for proper pitch/angle and flexibility. The furminator in and of itself requires a certain pitch angle once pressed against the animal or else the blade actually hurts them. The vacuum attachment device reduces the leverage and ability to angle the device. And, then when I attached my vacuum hose to it--well forget about it. The struggle to hold the contraption once connected to the vacuum hose alarmed my animals. I ended up with the same result I always get, fur balls wafting through the air and tumbleweeds of fur throughout the house.
