So I was pretty happy with the build quality at first. Even though this thing is too tall and packed for me, I was able to drain some of the buckwheat husks for a more comfortable position. I'm 5'11'', and I sat too high for long sessions. About a month ago, however, I started noticing tiny little bugs, the size of a skin pore or so, on books and around my meditation platform. I thought at first they may have been some tiny insects that flew through the mosquito screen somehow. Last week however, I picked up a book I left on the tatami platform, where this Zafu rested. It was crawling with these bugs. Upon further inspection, my zafu was overrun with a layer of these mites, and they were crawling everywhere in the room. I opened the zafu and realized that these must have hatched from eggs inside the husks and were coming out through the fabric by the thousands. I ended up dumping the filling, spending a day cleaning and vaccuuming my study room, and having to wash the zabuton underneath, which is now ruined. So I'm down a Zafu and zabuton because of the dismal quality of this product. And I spent an afternoon and evening removing this bug infestation from my place. If that's what you are into, then by all means take your chances with this product. Otherwise, LOOK ELSEWHERE. Now I need to find another zafu I can trust, or some filling to put into the empty canvas bag which I washed and was able to save.... I wish I had three thumbs so I could give this thing 3 thumbs down. I don't even know if I should request a replacement from these guys since they might send me another infested pillow.... NOT WORTH IT.
