I received this from a Crest rep to try out. Let me preface this with the fact that I am a dental hygienist. This is like the other Crest Pro Health toothpastes in that it is one that will cause mucosal sloughing in some individuals (meaning that the insides of your mouth may shed like a snake). Not sure what ingredient in the Pro Health line does this, but I've noticed it both personally and in my patients with these products, including this one with the first step paste. The second thing of note: don't use this if you are sensitive to whitening agents. The second step is essentially a low dose whitening gel and can cause some to feel anything from a range to slight discomfort or severe pain. After one use, I could already feel some of my teeth feel more sensitive to cold air and water. As some other reviewers have noted, the active ingredient, Stannous Fluoride, can stain the teeth. Stannous fluoride is notorious for this and could potentially stain some individuals teeth. Finally, the flavor is not all that great! If this toothpaste works for you, then that's great, but just making some notes for those who may have gum or tooth sensitivity.
