I've been shopping with Amazon since 2006 and I've never returned a product or written a negative review. This heater changes all that. First of all, let me state that I know the limitations of a small heater like this and I realize the price point should indicate what to expect. Knowing that I had set a very mediocre bar of the performance level I expected. The product arrived fairly well packaged and felt like decent construction. I mounted it on the wall and started it and was met with the most shrieking, whining irritating fan noise you can image. If fills the room with this mind-numbing whine that is unbearable. The heat output is almost criminal, a 750W hairdryer puts out more heat. Actually I can hold my hand directly on the grill where the heat comes out and never have to remove it. I have a completely insulated 400 sq ft workspace that I just wanted this to keep the chill off. It was 57 degrees when I turned it on at 3 in the afternoon and it failed to raise the temp a single degree in 8 continuous hours of running. After you start the unit the display runs and then after time it goes blank except for the power icon. When you touch the keypad or remote to change the temp or turn off it should relight and complete the function you're trying to do. The first time this unit went into "sleep mode" on the display it wouldn't come out of it either from the touchpad on the unit or the remote. I had to go thru a "reboot" as described in the manual...yes "reboot" a frikin wall heater. Save your money and avoid this like the plague.
