Class Action Lawsuit Bound...
I started using these at the beginning of 2020, figured with a newborn and a pandemic, not the worst thing to have around. Thankfully, I never ran out of quality baby wipes and use them on my newborn. However, I did make the mistake of thinking they might be a comfortable alternative to regular TP, which was disappearing from shelves.
To make a very, very long story short because this might just end up in court, I started experiencing severe itching... and a rash... and then insane itching a few weeks after use. I never thought this product was the cause. I thought I had something else wrong... diet, over cleaning, etc. I went to a a doctor, they ran tests and could not explain it. They advised a colonoscopy may be appropriate. Negative. They prescribed anti fungal medicine, thought perhaps it was worms (I have dogs), hydrocortisone, all sorts of things. NOTHING worked. I lived with this bullshit product for nearly 9 months, so desperate I used everything from Neosporin to alcohol pads. I was bleeding daily around the area, not just in the area.
Then I get a recall notice from amazon noting the product may have been infected with a certain bacteria and could cause minor irritation. MINOR? WTF? I mean, if a baby wipe company's quality control was this bad could you imagine the civil penalty for doing this to infants around the states? Anyway, I suppose it means quality control for this product was non-existent. There are several people have filed suit. Kimberly Clark offered... get this... a nice little $150 for my troubles. I will never cash the stupid gift card. They ruined my life for nearly a year. I can't even begin to explain how this affected my relationship, my enjoyment of my newborn and my overall sense of well being. I hate this company and their idea of responsibility / compensation is a joke. Screw Kimberly Clark and the management trying to keep this quiet. There's a reason they are no longer available, obviously.
PS. Search online for Kimberly-Clark flushable wipe class action lawsuit. There are number of sites there but one in particular is a class action lawsuit that is being formed by some people. Leave your info there so they have it
