I had the original OXO salad spinner for many years and loved it. When it finally was inoperable I thought this new and improved version would be even better. Not! I actually hate it. The greens don't get nearly as dry, no matter how many times I spin them. The push button brake takes extra hard pushing to stop the spinning compared to the old OXO. After washing, the parts take super long to dry in my dish rack. And when I dropped the top on my tile floor, a large chip shattered. I am still finding shards around the room. The old OXO was dropped several times and survived. The one positive I can say, setting the top into the base is much quicker than the old one...it settles right in without fussing. I am now researching a different salad spinner. Thank-you Amazon for providing useful reviews.
