Stripped my hair of color and left it brassy-brown-gray! I have very hard water- a lot of red mineral build up in sinks and toilets. Thought it would be a good idea to get similar deposits out of my hair. WRONG!! I read the packaging thoroughly to be sure it was safe for color treated hair. It is supposed to be. Prior to using this product, my hair was a beautiful metallic silver with a navy blue rootage. I washed my hair, rinsed it thoroughly and then applied the Malibu C Hard Water treatment as directed. I barely finished "scrunching" it into my hair when I noticed that my hair looked yellow. It was in my hair for not even 2 minutes. I immediately rinsed it out and continued washing and followed with usual conditioner as directed. When fully dried, the true horror was visible!! That stuff (which was supposed to remove brassiness) turned my hair a brassy, yellow- tinged brown at the roots with yellow- tinged gray mids/ends. I will have to get this awful mess color corrected. It will cost me a bunch as well. Thanks a lot Malibu C Company !! Your product ruined my beautiful color!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!
