Not Up to Oxo Quality
I really like Oxo kitchen products they are typically the best for any given type of kitchen utensil. But this thing...it’s a stinker. Two main flaws: (1) it doesn’t kill potatoes quickly and (2) it is not stable.
The spinning blade is angled to allow potatoes or whatever you are ricing to be pushed into the ricing blades. However, you have to continually push more potato into the spinning blade to keep it ricing. This could be made better if it was not a single spinning blade but more of a flighted auger like a screw to automatically bring in more potato for ricing.
Also. This thing is very top heavy and is not stable while spinning with one hand and trying to hold with second hand. Oh and you need a third hand to keep feeding potato into the ricer. This seems like a beta version. C’mon Oxo you can engineer a better ricer than this.
