★☆☆☆☆
30 year old book and contents
If you want to see pictures of 30 year old drills, jig saws, table saws, get this book. If you want to cut dovetails and mortise and tenons with a chisel and handsaw, get this book. If you want to read about 56 species of wood, many of which are no longer available, get this book. This was written when 1/2 inch plywood was actually 1/2 inch thick. Eight pages on the obsolete radial arm saw, but no mention of a miter saw or pocket hole jigs. Very little about the router and router table. Many descriptions of little used joinery techniques. Bottom line, this book is painfully outdated and lacks any real instructions of how to do woodworking with modern tools and lack of practical techniques. Hard to believe they have printed the same 30 year old stuff 19 times and keep selling it. Now I understand why there is no "Look Inside" feature. Very disappointed.
