I am an IT professional and had a similar experience as the first reviewer had. I did not buy the professionall version of the software but the next version down and it cost $40.00. I used the software to move data from an old computer to a new computer. It worked great. I had a windows update right after the transfer and it hosed my system. I rolled back to a working version of the operating system, but it did not have the transferred data. I set up to do another transfer and was surprised that it wanted me to buy another license. It is not clear that this is good for only one transfer. So with the special Laplink USB cable that I purchased, I blew over $90.00 for a one shot deal. If I had known this I would not have purchased the product. So beware, it is not made clear that you only get one use unless you pay for another license. To add insult to injury, there is no price break should you decide to buy another license. So unless you enjoy throwing money away, I would advise not to buy these products.
