Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I have been playing The Sims since the very first game and have loved seeing all the progress and innovation all these years with every coming Sims game, EXCEPT for this one. There is a reason they didn't let anyone review the game until launch, because they knew everyone would give it a crappy review and two-thumbs down. Before you buy, here's a long list of everything they removed from the game, but I'm sure they'll slowly add it back as "expansion packs" so that they don't have to work on actual new content. Count me out, I'm done with this company! It's a long list: --You can have babies, but your sims cannot interact with them (like feeding/playing with them with toys etc like in sims 3) the most you can do is hold them over their bassinet. --There are no toddlers, just POOF, your sim is a teenager who looks exactly like an adult. --Teens, Young Adults, Adults, Eldery all have almost the same exactly body. There's hardly any differentiation in between them, so it's very hard to tell them apart unless you zoom in and try to find the wrinkles. --No color customization. Every shirt, pants, accessory item come with their own color sets and that;s it. There is no changing the color if you don't like all the neon greens and purples. --No hair customization for color. You get a "set" of 12-ish colors to choose from and it's a flat color. no highlights, no tips, no roots. --When your sim goes to work you have NOTHING to do. You can't follow them to work, and at the most you can change how hard they work. That's it. You have to stay put until they get home. --You have more options of job choices in Sims 2. That's just sad. Sims 4 REMOVED Medical, Business, Law Enforcement and a lot of other "normal" jobs. --No burglars, no firefighters, no fires, and no mechanics to fix your broken home items. -- No ghosts, no aliens, no magic, no witches, no faeries, no vampires, basically they removed anything supernatural. --No restaurants. There is one gym, one nightclub, one lounge, one bar, a museum, a library, and a park---the end! --You can choose between 4 sets of lots, but there are only 2 empty lots. Each lot has 4 houses. --There are no shops for your sim, no theaters, no operas, no concerts. There are zero events. --You get about 6 different skin colors (or 12) and that's it. No skin slider. It's the same with the hair and also eye color. --No pools, no cars, no cars as even "decoration" to sit outside on the lawn --Plots are tiny. You have room for a small to medium sized house and almost no room for a backyard. --Limited to 3 stories of housing. So basement, main, and second floor, or... main, second, and third floor. --They removed Create a Style. --Loading screens for everything, so they removed open world. --No dishwashers, your sim must hand-wash everything which gets annoying and tedious. --No traveling outside the city. You can travel either of the 2 areas of the city. Each one has a few plots. But I already mentioned what was available. (1 bar, 1 nightclub, 1 museum, 1 library, 1 lounge, 2 parks, and 1 gym.) That's both areas COMBINED. There is a lot more that is missing, but I think you guys get the idea. I'm sure many of you will be stubborn like me and buy it anyway, but just remember... you were warned.
