First let me make clear, I recycle my k-cups. I cut out the aluminum top, empty the grounds, rinse and yank the filter. Then I put them in my recycle bin. I've tried every replacement cup available and have not yet found something that works for me. I like my coffee dark (French or Italian roast) deep and rich. . These did not work for me. Not at all. The filters are so small they hold half the coffee my permanent filter holds. As my pictures show, I filled each of my three options with coffee, piled it until it would not pile anymore and it's obvious these filters hold a very small amount of coffee. So I thought that maybe if the filter holds the water around the coffee for just a little longer, it would help. To be fair I stuffed the coffee into the filter as tight as I could. Look at the pictures of the two brewed cups in the window. The left side is a Tully's French Roast and the right side is Starbucks French Roast brewed with this filter. Both were brewed for an 8oz drop. It's obvious the Tully's is much darker. Drinking... the disposable filters cup tasted more like a morning blend than a deep French Roast. Mess... I still had to clean out the permanent filter when it was over so this actually added to the time it takes to make a cup of coffee. My hunt for a reusable replacement continues.
