On first impression, the skillet seems wonderful. I am impressed with the non stick coating and it is a great size to cook on. But the cord is really a disappointment. It is short, and has a built in right angle that makes it difficult to use positioned on the left side, unless your outlet is very close. For such a nice skillet, it seems like a poor design that was cheapened out on. Another 6 - 12 inches would have made things so much easier and wouldn't have added much to the cost. Then, 3 weeks in, the cord started making a loud humming noise. I called customer service, and they are sending a replacement in approximately 10 days. This is a good, but inconvenient solution. 2 weeks later: First, hamilton beach shipped me the wrong replacement, which I had to then get to UPS to return (they provided the label). I just got the corrected replacement and guess what - it hums! I will not be keeping this. Hamilton Beach will not help because they say I am beyond 30 days (not true - I wated 23 days to get it when I "Pre-ordered", then had to return one misshipped item and now have the second version that is still humming, which I have only had a couple of days). My only option is an Amazon return now. Hamilton Beach, you have lost a customer for life.
