I purchased these based on the many good reviews that they have received and, as a result, I am rather disappointed. What other reviews fail to mention is that these aren't "good utensils", they are "good utensils at this price point" -- big difference. Overall, these are rather inadequate for any normal grilling needs. The utensils are the same length as your typical kitchen utensil, which makes using them over a hot grill rather unpleasant -- it basically requires heat-resistant gloves. The case, though flashy, is relatively cheap and the interior and velcro straps are no good for easy of access. The kits where the utensils "pop" into place are far superior. Additionally, the tongs that are provided are practically a grip trainer... Your forearm will become very tired, very quickly just doing basic things like trying to turn over a few pieces of chicken. It's unbearable. I found myself going back inside and getting my kitchen Oxo tongs to use instead. So, what do I like about this set? Well, the way they combine a knife with the spatula is rather interesting. It seems weird at first, but I find that it actually works rather well. It is a light weight set that is easy to travel with, if that's what you're looking for (I was not). All in all, be aware that what you are purchasing is not a good overall grilling set. What you are buying is a marginally useful set that looks nice, is easy to travel with and costs very little. I would imagine that for most people, this set is not very useful... Especially if you are cooking over high heat.
